Fall Dinner & Discussion Recap : DUTCH Test
Functional Medicine Doctors in St. Louis
Functional medicine doctors in St. Louis got together this Fall for one of our popular SLiiM Dinner & Discussion events!
Over 30 healthcare pros got together at Sunset Country Club in Sunset Hills, MO. Here we hosted a dinner with Mark Newman, creator of DUTCH Test. The DUTCH Test - Advanced Hormone Testing is used to find answers to complex clinical questions that affect patient and their healthcare providers. DUTCH Test offers unique hormone testing and reporting methods to help providers explore hormone issues with their patients.
DUTCH stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones
When Mark Newman compared two blood hormone panels to their respective urine metabolite results from the DUTCH Test, any provider would have easily treated them the same. However, when you look deeper at the urine results, we could clearly see the major differences between these two patients.
"We need to be looking at the metabolites as well as the CAR - Cortisol Awakening Response. This is a much better predictor of your patient outcomes."
DUTCH Test offers several different product options for healthcare providers. DUTCH Complete is their flagship product offering an extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones and melatonin, along with their metabolites, to identify symptoms of hormonal imbalances. Patients can easily collect samples in the comfort of their own home, then send back to the lab later to be processed.
The SLiiM community appreciates Mark Newman's time to dive deeper into what makes DUTCH Test a valuable tool. If you are interested in a video replay from the dinner, please reach out to us! We're happy to help share the information we gained!
